Corrosion Protection Lead

CEC Corrosion Services, an Oil and Gas service company specializing in Corrosion Control and Pipeline Integrity, is currently seeking a Lead Corrosion Technician performing basic to moderate field testing of corrosion control systems on underground and submerged metallic structures. We offer a variety of services to manage all corrosion, mitigation, and integrity needs for customers throughout the United States.



Job Responsibilities


? Perform troubleshooting tests on cathodic protection systems


? Make field decisions and obtain field data to determine condition of structures under evaluation.


? Review field test results and draft reports.


? Prepare design work including supporting calculations from field data.


? Be familiar with standard construction practices for corrosion control projects.


? Develop job cost estimates for both engineering and construction projects.


? Develop test procedures for complex troubleshooting.


? Assist senior staff in the preparation of survey reports and final job reports


? Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables


? Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations



Competencies


? Current certification with NACE International as a CP Level I required; CP Level 2 preferred


? 2+ years of lead/supervisory experience in the Corrosion Control Industry, particularly related to cathodic protection work


? Previous ECDA (i.e. CIS, DCVG, ACVG, etc) experience is beneficial


? Good written and oral communications skills


? Knowledge of MS Office


? Surveying experience and good map reading skills


? Ability to travel as needed, even on short notice


This position may require significant time standing or walking on uneven ground, possible climbing of ladders or being in high places, working in tight spaces, lifting up to 60 pounds, and, in general, being overall physically demanding. It may also require work in an all-weather environment.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
